Artist’s Statement:
My practice embraces a cross disciplinary approach which includes photography, installation and predominantly video installation, though there is always a sculptural element to my work.
Time and Memory have become recurrent themes in my work. I am interested in the way we represent and express these essentially abstract ideas, which are central to our experience of life. In my installations I use ephemeral materials such as sand and water to explore notions of exposure, vulnerability and illusion. These engage with the medium of video projection in a necessarily flawed attempt to make the projection manifest as a physical presence.
